In our game against you guys, I thought he looked very comfortable for a kid playing in his 10th NBA game. We've got a bunch of guys in year two that still don't look that comfortable (though they are younger than he is, I suppose.)
Yeah. That extra college experience (combined with this smarts) make a big difference. He’s played in a lot of big games already. One final four and two sweet sixteens.
Honestly, more competing teams should look towards rookies who played multiple years of college ball
Not to mention he's a SoCal kid whose been exposed to pro-level training and guidance since he was like 14-15 maybe younger...
WITHOUT QUESTION, he needs consideration for 1st or 2nd team all rookie.
Dude has IT. So composed, always makes the right play and has been locking dudes down! 🔥
Just stat wise and impact wise there's no way he's not at least 2nd team. He's a 4th quarter closer on a competitive team.
I don't think 1st team is in the cards because he won't have the scoring stats voters would like.
He was incredible in college and usually was a clutch player in big games.
HOW DO THE HEAT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
Consistent team identity over a period of thirty years
They did try to get cute and try to draft someone like…. idk…. Hood-Schifino, and instead took the guy who has been making vet plays for 4 straight years on an elite college team.
Jaime fookin Jaquez
best mexican player in the world. fuck that bum ass JTA.
The heat scouting department got a time machine or some shit.
Shitty asset #4
Jalen Hood Shifino over this guy is insane when you need to win now
How can the Heat do this?
Number 1 in the league? That has to be number 1 of all time.
Can't believe he dropped to the Heat
Literally the perfect type of player for them lol
I knew this kid was gold from the first moment I saw him. You can tell he puts his life on the court. I’ve been a huge fan (though I DID NOT expect #1 in the league!)
I'm so happy for Jaquez. My favorite player in UCLA history, he's just an extremely well-rounded basketball player.
Riley did a great job not trading this guy for that near-washed up chucker from Oregon.
Don’t follow college but why did a 6’8 point forward with scoring ability stay all 4 years? Feels like the kind of prospect that would excited teams even more if he was 19/20
i knew this kid was good but i'd never actually taken a look at his face
now that i've done so, i can firmly say that juan wick is one of the best nicknames i've ever seen lmfao
Mick Cronin knows how to teach defense. JJJ is a smart dude and made the right call to stay in college as long as he did.
I knew he was going to be good
