3 athletic combo guards who each have shown flashes of stardom. Sharpe is 20 while Ivey and Green are 21. Which of these guys are you taking to build a team around?

2023-24 season stats

Green: 19/4/3 with 2.3 TOV on 40/37/79 splits (54% TS)

Sharpe: 19/6/4 with 3.5 TOV on 41/33/82 splits (53.4% TS)

Ivey: 11/2/3 with 2.2 TOV on 52/39/80 splits (63% TS). He is coming off the bench this year but averaged 16/4/5 on 53% TS last year as a rookie

Ivey probably last because of Monte Williams

[–] bb1432@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I'm not convinced on any of them

I dunno but how tf is Ivey only playing 20 minutes a night?

[–] idkuunomebitch@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He played at Purdue. Something unfortunate has to happen to his development

Don’t really get the Jalen Green hype ngl. Still seems like an inefficient scorer who doesn’t do much else on the court

I really hope the Rockets don’t make the mistake in doubling down with Jalen and instead pivot to making a roster to fully support Sengun.

Jalen is still looking like a rookie out there at times…he is still an inefficient scorer with nothing else really going on.

Because the third option is Ivey.

Just say you want to start a war between Rockets and Portland fans

[–] toadtruck@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Nah we haven’t had beef with them in ages

Why didn’t you add giddey?

[–] pskill43@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

It’s a little unfair comparing 2nd year player to 3rd year player ?

Sharpe, Green, Ivey but I still like Ivey a lot. Just need to see more from him

Jalen Green > Jaden Ivey >>> Shaedon Sharpe

This is why you aren’t an NBA GM

Sharpe has a much higher ceiling I think and his turnovers would be a lot less if our other guards Simons, Brogdon, and Scoot weren’t injured, not to mention that he’d also have better spacing and probably more efficient shooting numbers.

Sharpe/Jalen.....Ivey

Sharpe has the biggest frame and can finish thru contact. He's a prototypical SG and that alone separates him from the other two. Once the Blazers figure out their PG situation, he'll look better.

Jalen looks like he's figuring things out. His defensive awareness has grown significantly under the new look Rockets. I think his best position will be "scoring point guard" next to a passing big man ala Fox and Jamal Murray. There his quickness will be a supreme asset in defending other point guards.

Ivey: Bro's stuck in just about the worst roster for his play style.

Sharpe is being forced to run Point with our injuries and also has a sprained wrist himself. Just trying to explain his crazy turnover numbers.

Scoot and Simons being out is tough
