HeyHey,

I am interested in the Cisco universe, and I want to learn about network configuration.

I was thinking of buying an older (maybe end of support Switch). To learn with .

Would it be a good idea ?

And can you name me a model that would be fitting ?

I picked up an older POE/Gb catalyst on Craigslist for $10, I've fired it up and tinkered with IOS a few times. Should be easy to find eol stuff cheap

go virtual. there are so many flavor of iOS and other CISCO OS'es that buying an 20 years old switch would only give you really basic stuff
