Last year the Lions were 1-6 heading into week 9. They went 8-2 the rest of the way. Which team, with a horrible record right now, do you think will finish the season off strong and be a spoiler along the way?

Last year the Dolphins were 8-3 heading into week 13 and then finished off with 5 straight losses, almost missing the playoffs. Which team, with a great record right now, do you think will end the year with a bad streak of losses?

My fear is that my Lions are about to come up against a bunch of bad losses. 5 divisional games (which always can go either way) two of which are against the Vikings who are putting together a streak and getting healthy plus 2 more against the Bears who have a mobile QB that seem to give the Lions D fits. Plus the Cowboys! Maybe its the 30 year Detroit fan in me expecting the worst, but I fear them even losing the division. Its set up too perfectly for us Lions fans to have the proverbial "ball pulled out by Lucy" in week 16-18.

The ravens offense is going to be significantly worse for the rest of the season without Andrew’s. Agohlar and Beckham will get more targets but Jackson works best with an oversized check down. There’s very few people in the league who can replace Andrews. I don’t think the ravens will lose a bunch of games down the stretch, but they looked like a sure bet for the afc championship game before last week, and I’m not so sure anymore

The Jags are ripe for a collapse.

Since almost everyone here is expecting it with me idk how surprising it is for a collapse but Seattle, one of the toughest schedules left with a turnstile OL after getting by beating a bunch of scrub teams if the question was asked like 5 days ago I woulda said Pittsburgh but DTR and 2 Jake Browning matchups later I’m not dying on that hill

Only surprising finishes I have for bad teams are the Rams and Titans, think the Rams could finish 5-3 which is a solid finish but the Titans putting an end to the Texans potential playoff push and ruining the Jags seeding would be a bigger blow imo so Titans and Seahawks are the teams

The Browns are collapsing as we speak, as are the Bengals. The Bills are well down the collapse gradient.

I could see the Lions stumbling too.

Runs could come from Denver, Houston of course, though theirs is well underway. Maybe the Vikings, but I really think they're just flashing temporarily.

I think Denver now that Russ has acclimated to Peyton and the team is stringing wins together. The suspect team this year is Jacksonville

Buccaneers or Saints could go on a run and surprise everyone.

Broncos run, Steelers collapse

Steelers mickey mouse their way to first place in AFCN. Ravens are still able to get a wild card, but their offense suffers without Andrews and they get bounced in the first round.

So, not like it's going to matter, but if you include yesterday's commanders game, the giants have a real possibility of going 5-2 to end the season....and finish 7-10. Look:

  1. Commanders – this past weekend I’m counting that, so that was a W.

  2. Patriots – at home, that is likely a W

  3. Packers – at home, they don’t look very good although I heard they won a good game this weekend. Possible W

  4. @ Saints – I think Saints have Winston at QB now, and that spells disaster for them…so that’s a possible W.

  5. @ Eagles – give that one a L

  6. Rams – they are like 3-6, although they surprisingly won this weekend, but they gotta come across country

  7. Eagles – another L

Even for how poor the giants record is, they do still have a lot of fight in them....so, the irony of it all is an undrafted QB who still lives at home with his parents may wind up going 5-2 the remainder of the year...pushing the giants out of the Caleb Williams/Drake Maye sweepstakes...don't get me wrong, Bo Nix/Penix Jr and maybe some others would be worthy, but if the giants do wind up 7-10, that puts them closer to around 8-13th pick in 2024's NFL draft.

Well the Steelers are technically in a playoff spot at 6-4 right now and honestly it will either go horribly pear shaped or we'll make a run to the Super Bowl
