SGA Leads the league by far in drives per game (21 next highest 18). Despite this he is tied for 16th in FTA. (alien.top)

SGA is averaging by far the most drives to the basket each game at 21 a night. The next highest is lamelo ball at 18.3 a night

Despite this SGA is averaging 6.3 FTA per game which is tied for 16th in the NBA. He is also 12th off of FTA per game based off of drives at 2.9 a night. Behind players like Caris levert and paolo banchero

As a whole team OKC is also averaging the most drives per game at 60.5 (2nd is the pacers at 57). Despite this OKC is also 16th in the NBA in FTA.

SGA isn’t a foul merchant and OKC has been getting a pretty bad whistle this year it seems.

OKC is also 2nd in the nba in FT%

He is got a bad whistle this year but let's not avt like his whistle last season was the same. Last season he had a elite whistle

Considering the rest of the drivers per game leaders are also not very high in the free throw attempts list, seems like the lesson here should be drives and free throws aren't as correlated as you think.

Yeah because they aren’t driving all the way to the basket. LaMelo will drive and float. Shai will drive and do floater or something else as well.

For something to be recorded as a drive to the basket does it have to end in a layup attempt? Or is does getting downhill past the perimeter defender and shooting a midrange count too? Cause that is what SGA does a lot. Might be one factor as to why he gets less whistles, but not sure
