I have three Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny M900s that I’m in the process of setting up as a basic Docker swarm. I intend to run the usual HomeLab stuff on it (Plex, storage, etc.) and I would love hardware video encoding. However, because of their amazing compact form factor, fitting a GPU in there is not possible (and I want to keep it at least looking stock). There is an M.2 E key slot for WiFi, but I’m not using it. I know there’s a card you can put there that adds a TPU AI co-processor (https://www.coral.ai/products/m2-accelerator-ae), but does anyone know of a simple video encoder that fits in the same form factor?

There is no M.2 card that houses a GPU directly. You can get a M.2 -> PCIE adapter, but that defeats the purpose. Just use Quicksync instead

There are a couple, but they are just about good enough for VGA and not at all useful for this problem

QuickSync... This is the way.

Coral TPU is cool thou, so have two of them for my frigate setup but that not for gpu workload.
