This might be a dumb question, but does dirt/dust/pet hair/fabric, etc. between the driver and grille (on the fabric) affect sound quality? I have an HD560s and have been thinking about this for some time.

Hair on drivers can affect planers, but shen it comes to dynamic headphones I think they are much more robust

Usually this does not happen. I have had very old open headphones, with dirt in the grill holes even, the sound was intact. I had an old 650 with pleather pieces all over the membranes and did not notice incorrectness in the sound.
