Who would give you the higher chance to win a title in the next two years? You as the manager already have a team which is solid in defense and solid in offensive, but it lacks a star player to make it a serious contender. You can either add Embiid or Doncic to that team.

embiid is a playoff dropper

[–] DontShootToMiss@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Doncic pretty comfortably. There are probably a good 8 players you’d take over Embiid if you care about playoff performance.

[–] CanaryContent9900@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Doncic. If the Mavs had 2 Lukas, nobody is beating them.

[–] JAhoops@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

depends what the roster is built like

[–] Skywalkerkid9@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Embiid easily.

Plays defense.

[–] erldn123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Doncic easily.

Far better in the playoffs.

Luka, hes way more offensively consistent than Embiid

For the Celtics probably Embiid. Two way dominant scorer and Idk if Luka’s heliocentric offense would fit around how the Celtics like to play.

[–] AncientMarsupial3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Celtics don’t need more defense or scoring, they need a ball-dominant guard who can control the game.

The one who is elite on both sides of the ball.

Up to you to decide which one I’m referring to. If the answer is obvious… then the answer to this post is obvious too lol

Gimme the MVP no question. Heliocentric offense have a ceiling

reminder that embiid dropped 15/8/1 on 28/0/83 efficiency in game 7 couple months ago

I'm heavily biased, but imo it's luka by a mile. A known playoff riser with that big game mentality vs the opposite of all of that. The chasm between them on defense is massive obviously, but one of them has been to the CF

Doncic. Embiid coming off the bench wouldn’t help as much as a Doncic/Embiid two man game

For the Heat, this is very tough because do I want a guy who can get 35 pts / 8-10 ast in every playoff game but has questionable defense or do I want someone who can be that rim protector to give Bam the ability to play wings more and give us 30 pts / 12 reb a game.

I lean Embiid because of the rim protecting and giving Jimmy & Bam the ability to switch on teams better, but possibly having Luka next to Jimmy & Bam would be awesome.

Butler/Bam/Embiid is an incredible defensive frontcourt but that spacing would be tough.

If I already had a ball dominant guard and a second decent combo guard I’d pick Embiid. Luka is a egregious liability on defense and if his offensive usage is down, it probably limits his effectiveness.

Luka has shown to always level up in the playoffs, which is crazy considering he basically puts up 30-9-9 during the regular season. If you surround him with a team of good defenders to cover his weaknesses (like the Raptors), I believe he can win a chip.

Embiid legitimately gets worse in the postseason, and has no memorable playoff moments to speak of and he’s almost 30. And unlike Luka, Embiid has played with elite rosters.

Add Embiid to the Suns and shit gets wild. I would think Luka is probably the choice for most teams though.

[–] motorboat_mcgee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

For the Lakers, Embiid

[–] Grooviemann1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

For the Suns, Embiid by a mile. I don't even care about his offense but it's a nice bonus. The rebounding and defense would make us unstoppable.

[–] Acrobatic-Dog7044@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

As a Nets fan Luka would be huge if he was on our team.

[–] Pure_Explanation_624@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Luka for sure, we dont need a 3rd tower lmao
