Spain has huge cultural differences between regions and cities. If you don't like Barcelona you might love Valencia, Madrid, Bilbao, Granada, etc.

What’s the difference between Valencia and Barcelona?
Give Valencia a go. It's chill, less crowded, and kinder on the wallet – could be just the change of scene you need. Plus, the tech scene's pretty cool for digital nomads. Worth a try before you bail on Spain!
Valencia for me. The few degrees warmer and the extra sunshine makes a difference to me. It feels like it is also easier on the budget compared to Barcelona.
Are people mostly speaking Spanish there or the local dialect?
There's so much to see in Spain! Malaga has a great DN scene if you get chilly too.
My q is, what about Valencia vs Malaga?
Malaga is very car dependent and beach resortey vibes. Valencia feels more village/homey and the river park is fantastic.
