Hi,

I'm in the market for a new watch!
I'm currently wearing a Seiko SRPG35K1 which has some cool distortion from certain angles.. only it's too small. I'm a little brawny and it makes it look like a toy watch. I've been looking at the spb143 which I totally love the look of only it only has a little more presence than the SRPG35K1 and I find it too small.

So I'm looking for toolish watch, not too shiny with a domed crystal with some cool distortion and a bit of a vintage feel. Around 42mm that has some good wrist presence. I came across this citizen with a very cool domed crystal which I totally love (see picture) but I haven't seen much in this style.

Can anyone recommend something?

I could find the edit button but I forgot to mention I dislike arrow hands!

Oris diver 65.

Or if you're willing to go vintage Seamaster 300 ST 165.024

Loads of vintage offerings actually. But the omega just my favourite.

As long as you don't mind the crystal being acrylic and not sapphire, I think Lorier do some really nice vintage inspired pieces for under $1000.

I would recommend the Oris 65. I owned one for a couple years, and the distortion was pretty wild

The original Tudor Heritage Ranger that was replaced a couple of years ago.

Baltic has some domed crystals. I have the Aquascaphe Dual Crown in PVD Black and get compliments on its raised glass all the time

I personally think the Hamilton Khaki Pilot day date fits this mold. I am always playing with the dome distortion youre talking about and it definitely has some wrist presence. 42mm but all dial also called the Coop

Tudor Heritage Ranger with the ETA movement has a neat dome.

Also the longines spirit had a nice dome IIRC.

Sounds like you need a Vostok. Vintage designs, cool distortion from acrylic crystal, and tough as hell.

Finishing is not top notch, but the value proposition of an in house movement and iconic designs for less than $100 is too good.

Scuba dude with the 120 case looks most similar to the pic.
