Biased Spurs fan here adding to the countless threads. Every night we a ee Wemby get double and triple teamed. Chet is a beast but how would he/his numbers fare if he were on the Spurs as #1 offense option and carrying defensive load.

Would Wemby become more efficient on the Thunder? Would Wemby put up less or more scoring?

playing beside SGA who is an All NBA guard would help any Rookie. Wemby is the 1st option to defend for most teams.

Chet is option 2-4 depending on who is hot after SGA

Who knows and who cares.

No, Chet has talked about being an efficient scorer before he was eventually drafted. His favorite player was Kevin Durant. It’s just a mentality thing. Low usage max performance is his thing looking at Gonzaga.

Probably around the same.

You could switch these two players out for one another and their shot chart would not change as much, Wemby picked these same shots with the French pro team and Chet with Gonzaga University.

Chet is exactly where he should be and so is Wemby. Chet perfectly compliments our system that we've been building.

The Spurs should build and are trying to build a perfect system around Wemby. Wemby and the Spurs just need more time to do so.

Coach Mark has also had a full year of watching Chet and training Chet and planning for Chet that Pop hasn't had with/for Wemby.

Wemby isn't the level of shooter that Chet so less efficient than Chet is now is but he would still be way more efficient than he currently is

Wemby is easily the ROY lol not only is Chet a second year player he has a much better team around him which allows him to get less defensive attention.

Probably the same

The problem with Wembayama is that there is a brain of a 6'6 chucking wing stuck in a 7'4 body

Victor would probably be more efficient and Chet less, but by bball reference’s tally, he’s had more shots at the rim than Chet this year, so the idea that Chet’s getting easy dunks/layups whereas Victor is having to create off the dribble is a little incorrect.

I think Wemby would probably score less though. On the Thunder, he’s the #2 option at best. On the Spurs he’s the #1 option, especially when Vassell is out. His raw scoring numbers get inflated by being able to Chuck away

In this scenario Chet would probably be completely forgotten about and Wemby would be a shoe in for All NBA
