I get it, as painful as it is to watch. Sochan clearly isn't the PG of the future, but his ceiling is going to be much higher if he is a trustworthy secondary ball handler

Spurs would be alot better if they trotted out Tre/Vassell/Keldon/Sochan/Wemby every night. But they need to tank for another top prospect to put next to Wemby

The plan is failing....just pick up a free agent point guard. Is Darren Collison still available?

I've noticed whenever a catch a bit of a Spurs game they're having Sochan play point.

Did anyone hear the announcement of the move, and all the subsequent quotes from the Spurs decision makers about the plan for this year, and think they were doing this because they thought this was going to lead to more wins?

They're just evaluating guys and their limitations/possibilities on their way to another top pick.

Makes perfect sense, every player should be a playmaker. Spurs have had a lot of success with this, if you can turn sochan into a Boris Dias that’s a big W

Improving Sochan'a play making ability is great for long term development. Meanwhile Wemby is making do with the bad playmaking around him. Once they get a good play maker involved, Wemby will be in EZ mode. Win win.

I would never for a second assume I know better than Pop, cuz he must be seeing something different than I am on TV, cuz that shit is ass as fuck.

I’ve only watched 2 or 3 spurs games this year but I don’t get what anybody sees in this guy. He’s decently athletic but can’t shoot for shit and doesn’t really do anything well, not sure why podcasters talked about him so much this off season

Why is the national media trying to pretend the Spurs aren’t tanking. OKC tanked without having a center. The Spurs are tanking by not having a PG. That’s how you can tank with good players.

People be comparing Chet and Wemby.

Chet got SGA as PG, while Wemby got Sochan. Really not fair.

Just cuz dude dribbles across half court doesn't make him a point guard.

As much as I want Sochan to succeed, he's horrible as a pg, and only decreases his value, he's very good, but limited as a pg. I think it could be good as a growth and long term understanding of the position, but I don't think he has that IQ needed on the offensive side as a pg, certainly doesn't have the ball handling skills to be successful.

He could be 6th man of the year, in his true position, but he would have to come off the bench, unless Wemby can eventually hold down the 5, which probably won't happen
