It’s now his third year and he has been a disappointment so far.

He doesn’t seem to know what to do in the offense now that we’re running with FVV as ball handler and Sengun as the main offensive Hub. Without the ball in his hand he doesn’t score well or consistently and when he does get the ball he is super inefficient. Defense and playmaking has improved but he’s still not a plus on that side and he makes a lot of bad decisions still.

Should the rockets trade him before his next extension where he may be the next Jordan Poole?

He is a good player. Give him time to fit his new coach and new role.

re-sign josh christopher, how you expect him to function without his bad bitch beside him

I remember everyone shitting on people picking Giddey over him lol

It's not a fun conversation but it's necessary, it might be time to take him to a farm upstate.

He's making good progress now that he's not playing alongside a bunch of knuckleheads. I'd keep him.

It's going to take time to erase two years of shitty habits.

I'm not sure, but I would hope that the Rocket's aren't making that decision based on the 11 or so games he's played with a new head coach, role, and teammates. Especially given that they're playing well right now and winning.

I thought he was the next Anthony Edwards? :/

[–] kaiWarDun@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

i don't see him become a franchise cornerstone or superstar but I could see him being a Jordan Clarkson or Zach lavine if he figures it out. It's still early in the season though i think this question would be more appropriate towards the middle of the season.

6th man. I dunno haven’t seen a Houston game this year

Rockets fans, is he really that bad? He looked promising the last couple seasons. Is he really so bad he should be traded? I just don't see how that can happen other than him being put in a role he's not great at

trade him or Jabari to us for OG or Pascal.

idk but they need to be starting tari eason

G League prospects just aren’t prepared. No good coaching, no team cultures, just PPG.

Lowball him on the extension. With his current performance, don't think any other team will offer him a big bag.

With the cap expansion, should be a cheap bet on his potential.

The Rockets still have plenty of time to figure out what he is. May take some time for Ime and Fred to purge him of the bad vibes KPJ and Steven Silas put into him

Nothing, Sengun was a good 2 pick and Jalen has been a decent 16 pick

But with this roster and ofc Sengun development, they need a better scoring guard to dream with better things than play-in

[–] Overall-Palpitation6@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

He's honestly trending towards being a "not big enough for a wing, not skilled enough/enough of a playmaker to be a guard" type.

He's got the physical tools and abilities in isolation, but he's still very much learning how to play effective, winning team basketball.

[–] Thorlolita@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Keep letting him play. If he’s not a stud at the end of the year they can think about moving him and the plethora of picks for an established SG.

He’s a bust. What else to say. A waste of a number 2 pick. Jabari smith also is on the chopping block. Both don’t look like the prospect they were meant to be.

[–] Relevant_Lunch_3848@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Nah Jabari is doing fine lol upped his efficiency and has tonnes of defensive potential

Green is better than Poole , Poole was great because he had the best pg of all time to play off of and not many expectations.

[–] bomba69@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It is too early to judge but I don't like to listen to him in interviews. He sounds like a guy who doesn't have a clue and who'll never be a winning player, despite all his talent. I wouldn't want him on my team but he's talented enough to prove me completely wrong in a couple of years.

[–] BUUAHAHAHA@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Tbh, his iq seems low..

[–] addictivesign@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Would you take Jalen Green or Cam Thomas? And why would it be Cam Thomas?

[–] Stunning_Passion5923@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Jalen Green for Cade: who says no??

[–] CJ4ROCKET@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Jalen Green cannot be the next Jordan Poole in terms of contracts. No shot he gets that kind of money, from anyone.

[–] chinoisbonkers@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Ship his ass off to the Wizards. Aka NBA’s graveyard for loose ends
