It’s the tush push, the brotherly shove sounds dumb and forced
It's exhausting, more risky as you get more tired, and guaranteed for 1 but struggles for 2/3
Part of me wants to say they did it when there was a penalty that moved them closer to the goalline for the PAT attempt?
Why didn't the Eagles just use the Brotherly Shove to push the Ring into Mt. Doom? Are they stupid?
This is so underrated dude. Hilarious holy smokes
The injury risk is not worth the reward in most cases. I wouldn’t be shocked if they played the Super Bowl that way if they get there though
The play will gas the offensive line sooner or later. Need to diversify your portfolio and protect ya neck
Because this isn't Madden, it's real life. Injuries will occur quickly
Going for 2 every play would lead them to an immediate 4 and out with 2 yards remaining deep in their own territory.
Modify your strategy just a little bit and you have the eagle’s current offensive strategy. They more or less know that they can get 2 yards in a 4th and 2 situation. With something like a 98% success rate. So, knowing you really only have to go 8 yards in 3 plays instead of 10, drastically changes your game plan. They are playing like everything is 4 down territory. It’s an extremely aggressive strategy, and I think it rests mostly on Jason Kelce’s health, but so far they’ve had a lot of success with it. Every coach in the league is laying awake at night trying to dream up ways to counter it. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.
Safety. And if every play is super, no one will be.
injuries
I mean, if you can do it with 50.1% efficiency then it certainly would be worth it
I was thinking when is a football coach going to instill this as an offense?
Can't find a QB? No problem, just find 6 guys like Taysom Hill and shove it down their throat.
You ever heard the story of Icarus? That’s why.
Shhhhhhhh
Why doesn’t Lebron simply tomahawk slam every possession?
If I were the Eagles, I’d run it on 2nd and 3 or less, 3rd and 2 or less.
So basically on 2nd and 3, I’m gonna run it three times in a row if I have to, and get that first down.
Taking this to the logical extreme if they could get 3 yards every play they could actually do this play the entire game
Depression.
