I recently started getting notifications from Google Fi requesting that I give Google Play both Phone and SMS permissions.

I dismiss the notifications because my phone already successfully received and sends all text messages and phone calls. The Google Fi app has Phone and SMS permissions, but Google Play only has network.

The above has been going on for about a month, then last week or so GOS did an update and now I get additional errors from Google Play saying below.

This seems odd. So far, since I have no issues with any functionality, I have been ignoring the messages. Should I be doing something about them?

I have graphene OS on a Pixel 8. Been using it successfully for maybe 6 months now. I have Google Fi service, and use Google Play services still both for Fi as well as other things I pay for and haven't been able to degoogle from yet.

I can't speak for any of the Fi stuff (that's a network, right?), but I also got the DCL via memory alert this morning

It shows up every 8 hours or so. I see that I can disable future notifications about when it blocks that, but since I don't really understand what's going on, I'm concerned it might be something I shouldn't just ignore.

Talking out of my ass but it seems like Google fi app wants to use gps infrastructure of surveillance but since you are not giving it access, it can't so it spazing

Realistically, it is matter of time before Google bricks it. They usually start fucking around like this. Uber is an example of how something that just worked, now just doesn't but there time time where it harassed me before being bricked.

Consider looking into another MVNO.

I also get these from Fi but ignore them. I've had no issues.

Nice to know that someone else is seeing the same with no issues to report.
