Wow, he shot it all at once with 40 models. I'd sortof assumed at first glance that it was one or two models moving around and changing costumes
I thought this was Physical Graffiti for a second
I thought it was kodim01.png from the "Kodak test dataset", which is commonly used nowadays in deep learning-based image compression.
Man, the light on this shot is impossibly soft. Hardly a shadow to be found. Incredible.
Maybe that’s why it looks like a dollhouse/miniature. I can’t believe it’s a real photo.
I believe the IKEA red bicycle photo by Fernando Bengoechea far out-grosses this.
By 2018 it had already sold 427'000 copies... and it's still selling them at around $50 each.
No idea the price history over time, but even of you half the price and just include the copies sold up to 2018 that's already on par with Girls In Windows.

How soulless do you have to be to buy ikea art?
It's a great photo but never seen it before but good for the artist. I think I have my sights too low as I'm happy getting paid in alcohol and tacos.
There is so much to learn about photography, and then, even when you think you know stuff, there is selling it as art.
One can see the appeal of this gem, and was completely ignorant to it and its photographer... a happy tale for photography... dare I say, proof that edition sizes and rarity are never evidence of anything photo related.
