It only matters if a player on my team wins it
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
when will people realize that 'most valuable player' is not the same as 'best player'
It’s been a popularity contest since like 2004.
I can't believe people actually believe Embiid ONLY won because of "racism".
... okay
The mvp award will always matter if the player I want wins and never will matter when the player I don’t want to win wins. Same with the in season tournament and FMVP and pretty much any award that isn’t the 💍
not if Jalen Hurts wins it imho
…my bad wrong sub
But apparently in the NBA, talent shouldn’t be given recognition unless you’re under 30.
Which over 30 year olds do you think should have won the MVP instead of the actual winners over the last 10 years?
since lebrons first mvp the winner led the league in both bpm and ws/48 11 out of 15 years and at least one of those 13 out of 15 years.
Dear diary
Winning it basically guarantees you into the hall of fame, so yes
You realize that the NBA does not itself determine who wins the MVP right?
It mattered before Westbrook won. After that it became a joke.
Completely unbiased but MVP top 5 for this year are Luka, Curry, PG, Giannis and Durant.
You're telling me you wouldn't take shai over curry after he just locked him down in OT? And while having his team like tied for #1 in the west? I feel like you're just going off of names? Why should curry deserve to be top 5 in voting when he's missed half of the season so far? As for Giannis, he's a stud, but they got Dame and people expected them to be amazing immediately and since they got off to a slow start they're placing that on him.
The only individual award that matters is finals MVP. End of story.
At this point I'm starting to think Kendrick Perkins' nickname must be "the media."
Lol someone hasnt actually been following games this season.... its 2023 bro, not 2020. The list is completely fair
