This is the least Canada can do, Canada’s continued weapons shipments to Israel make us directly complicit in genocide, while it's dressed up as diplomacy.
Unites States can escalate going and fucking themselves!
And here we see why bending the knee to a sociopath like Trump never works. They will only experience validation for their previous bullying, and keep escalating regardless of whether they "won" or not.
I sincerely hope Carney tells Trump to stuff it and come back once he figured out trade agreements are relationships - they are supposed to provide mutual benefit to the parties involved.
Or, even more basically - tell him to first figure out what he really wants to achieve before making demands, because even that seems a cognitively impossible ask of the current US administration (see: https://www.reuters.com/business/japan-voice-concern-over-us-trade-deal-inconsistency-pm-ishiba-says-2025-04-21/).
And I'm guessing the most we can expect in response from Carney, is that he might not immediately bow to Trump again.
I'll believe it when I see it
