Don't come crying to me when the pad flatten out, young man.

Although you can in theory flip it every day and the pads wear out "evenly". Just be ready to get a new set of earpads.

It's your gear after all, do as you like. But just as Simeras said, probably not the best way to do it. Also raises the likelyhood of them getting knocked down.

I just hang mine on my lamp... (Barely work, had to jankily fix it, left earcup broken again)

Yeah, my headphone stands are one of those pixar lamps and the foam stand that came with my edition xs

The problem is that my face is so greasy and sweaty that these headphones would end up slipping right off the table. It doesn't work for everyone.
