Hi all, thank you for reading this. I have been dating my boyfriend for a few months now and these are our first holidays together. I want to get him something nice, precisely a watch. I have pried some information out of him, and he mentioned that he liked mechanical watches, preferably with leather strap, brands like Timex, Seiko. I have never bought men’s watches before so figured I will ask for some recommendations here. My budget is about $500 and I am considering both leather and metal bracelet watches. Thank you for your help in advance.

Get him a Mido of your choice and budget from jomashop. I have a Multifort and commando II, both have been great.

Seiko Cocktail Time as many mentioned. No need to look any further.

However please be aware that watches have different sizes in diameter. They can look too big or too small depending on the wrsit size of your boyfriend.
