A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.
This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.
OSS 2.0
Fuji 50mm f2 WR I just love it 🤔😀
It would be the sigma 35mm 1.4 art :)
16-35. I’m weird.
Sony 50mm F1.2 GM after a month it will be mine.
Hard pick between 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8. Probably the latter
It's really a toss-up between the 24-70mm and 70-200mm, but I think 24-70 because it's a bit more versatile, the 70-200 is too narrow for most things that you're close up for. 70mm will be good enough for most distance photography, however. Obviously not as good as real telephoto, but you CAN get info then, compare this:
You can't take a picture at a table of your food with your 70-200, you can with your 24-70. Or a picture of your date at dinner. The 24-70 is just more all-round.
Nikon 85/1,4 adapted to a Z camera so it gains VR.
I currently only own a Sony 24-70 GM2. It cost an arm and a leg so it may be the only lens I use for the rest of my life.
50mm f/1.4
70-200 f2.8
17-70 2.8, And if it could be any smaller or in housing zoom that would bee cool, thanks, bye.
Kodak Anastigmat 170mm f/6.3 in Kodamatic shutter.
Maybe the EF 85 1.2 IIL
Leitz Elmar 5cm 3.5
def my sigma 24-35mm f/2, although she’s a v heavy gal
Sony 135 1.8 GM.
Zeiss 55mm f1.8
The triple lens setup on my phone
Whyyyy dont cameras have this :'(
I know you need multiple lenses and the quality is shet but getting the right picture is sooo much easier.
Looking forward to using fullframe sensors. Carrying around at least 3 lenses incl primes for astro.. not looking forward to that
NIKKOR AI-S 50mm f/1.4
Fujis 35mm 1.4
I'm surprised I don't really see people mentioned my choice, 17-50mm
It's a lens I don't have but I wish I do a lot. I mostly use 24-70 but I find I often take pictures of the moment/events with friends that are happening indoor. Sometimes, 24 just isn't wide enough in smaller spaces for the group photos.
Pry my Magic Drainpipe from my cold, dead hands.
Nikker 55mm 2.8, bought it for around 100 USD and i love it.
Sigma 40 1.4
Viltrox 75 f1.2
24mm/1.8, without a doubt.
Right now it’s my 15-85. The lens is really nice for a non pro lens and the range is amazing on my crop sensor camera. Will it be a forever lens? No because my current body still has a mirror so I’ll need to change to RF when I next upgrade, but as I’ve been winning comps with an almost 20 year old dslr, I don’t see the need to upgrade anytime soon.
Sigma Art 35mm f1.4
TAMRON 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DIIII-A VC VXD for Sony a6100, I make photos as a hobby and that versatile lens would be perfect for me
60mm f2.8 prime macro
Currently my 100-400mm for wildlife - BUT Canon is bringing out a 200mm - 800mm in April and I really can't see that leaving my camera at all...
35mm full frame or 23mm apsc for primes. 24-75mm if talking about zoom.
I shoot with a 35/1.4 just about all the time.
