A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Guess I'll just have to go back to setting things on fire.

I'll just shoot a piece of wood with my 50 calibre repeatedly until I get the desired smoke effect, problem solved take that ATF 😁

Not in my state.

Nothing like a flash bang to get your BIF photo's to express a sense of urgency.

How to take a picture of your dog, by Ian Miles Cheong

Step 1 : Flashbang him

[–] Bishops_Guest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s basically what happened when I got my first 2400 watt strobe. Nearly set the dog’s bed on fire.

Apostrophes don't mean "here comes an s."

[–] renome@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I still haven't figured out how to sync my flash with the bang, though.

Oh no! Anyway...

Doesn't apply. A fogger uses glycol-based or glycerin-based fluids to create the fog. The banned devices use a "explosive" to ignite the content of the "bomb"

[–] f8Negative@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh no. Anyways.

[–] rodka209@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Damn, that's every beginner sony shooter

Also the smoke photography fad is way over rated, it's the vaping of photography, or maybe it's the old batman TV show fanbase.

Note to self: make vape grenades. Totally different from smoke grenades.

[–] Skvora@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fog machines don't make smoke, so yea.

The list is very specific , it does not. Appear to impact normal colored smoke. It appears to target devices that look like real devices. Like the simulation cans that appear to be cs but are just smoke, devices that mimic flashbang and military grenades. I can't find Mc 18 smoke grenade but

I've seen posts from airaoft smoke company's says they are legal within the new ATFE release. The ATFE lists the em55 , specifically, but not the tp40. I'm assuming normal colored smoke that yall use is going to be a ok. I wrote a big smoke retailer for clarification. Also every store would be break federal laws right now if normal smoke devices were illegal now.

Here is the list of newly regulated devices

That sucks. I got some atmosphere in a can to try out from adorama. No way it can put out the smoke density an Enola Gaye can. Oh well

[–] reddogleader@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Looks like Atmosphere Aerosol will be with us for a minute.
