I know it’s extremely rare for a defensive player to be considered, let alone a DB, but with his season so far he deserves it. I’m not a Cowboys fan by any means (usually root against them) but you have to admit greatness when you witness it. He’s the top ranked corner according to PFF just broke an NFL record for pick sixes and has the most INTs in the league. He’s so far above anyone else in his position plus he’s doing things that no one else has done before. Brady was right when he said the NFL offensive skill isn’t the same this year- there’s no one offensively other than Tyreek or AJ that are having rare seasons. Why are we sitting here pretending like we have to chose between this shitpile of offensive candidates when there’s so many defensive players playing at a high level. Obviously he has to finish the season strong but if he can finish with three to four more INTs (11total) it would be insane to me to pass him up, at the very least DPOY. Would love to hear some civil discourse on this.

A troll hopefully

If he finishes with 10 pick sixes, it’s a conversation. That would be an INCREASE over his record breaking 11 game pace

He would need three more pick 6s and then maybe.

Have his Pick Sixes even been that impactful? Feel like they all have come in blowouts against garbage QBs. Also Garrett has a much better argument for a defensive player. He's much more "valuable" to his team's success than Bland

Still reeling from the loss?

My non traditional position for MVP vote goes to Trent Williams.

If he gets like 3 more pick sixes then MAYBE they'll give him a nod. Unfortunately I don't think he will get MVP recognition. Definitely a DPOY candidate!

Jalen Hurts is not bad, but all this praise and calls for him to be the MVP are so overblown. His offensive line should get the MVP, but doesn't work like that.

No

If any defensive player gets MVP, it would probably be Myles Garrett since he's on HoF trajectory. And that would free up DPOY for Bland

Your logic is flawed. The award is for a yearly performance, not career. You're argument that Garrett get it because of his HoF trajectory is talking about his career, not just this season. Hell, Garrett isn't even leading in his main stat: sacks.

He should be DPOY, not MVP
