I'm trying to identify some customer pain points that confectionery try to solve and I've obviously only come up with: relieving the one's pleasure for sugar. Any other answers? Thanks.

You also solve the pain of finding a gift, which can be positioned as making ppl happy/brightening someone’s day, etc.

Solve the pain for parents of something fun to do with their kids.

It might stop someone being unconscious due to hypoglycemia.

Solving the problem of being in a coma is pretty useful.

I go to a local chocolate shop sometimes. For me, the need that it fills is the combination of chocolate and fresh fruit. Other than chocolate-covered raisins, that’s hard to buy in a package. I also love the flavored truffles.
