With Darko’s new “0.5 offense” the ball seems to be moving a lot more this season, opposed to Nick Nurse’s iso heavy offense.

The raptors are 2nd in assists per game with 28.8, while being 18th in ppg with 112.6. Much improved from last season being ranked 23rd in assists with 23.9 per game with 112.9 ppg.

While the team’s only .500 I have to say I’ve been really enjoying watching them on offense this year. A lot less scoring droughts and offense possession where the ball doesn’t move and it ends in a bad iso shot.

We need to at least give the full season to see how the team adjusts to the new system. It’s a big shift for a lot of these guys

Points per game is not the best measure of offense, offensive rating is. According to nba.com we’re at 20th, at 112.1, and are actually down from last year (13th, 114.6).

We’re fifth in fast break points, but our halfcourt offense remains terrible… A week ago it was the worst halfcourt offense since the Process 76ers.

I don’t know if you’ve watched every game but although the ball is moving, we have piles of scoring droughts, and had another bad one last night in the fourth quarter.
