MHJ on whether he’ll do the thing everyone in the world knows he’ll do: “I don’t know”

[–] MrDunkingDeutschman@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (43 children)

What does a top5 pick make, roundabout $30-35m/4years?

Yeah, no chance he turns that down.

He clearly doesn’t want to go to the teams picking in the top 5.

[–] BadDadJokes@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He doesn’t want to have to play for Harbaugh in Chicago.

[–] F1reatwill88@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Say it again, but look into my eyes and do it in a chicago accent

[–] WestSide75@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Then he can refuse to sign with one of those shitty franchises and force a trade. There’s precedent for that, he has the leverage, and it’s a better decision than playing another unpaid year in college and possibly suffering a major injury.

If he doesn’t come out I’ll slap myself with a live salmon.

[–] RaeDiesel@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Collinsworth has about $800 worth of salmon he put on his NBC credit card you could probably use.

[–] MITJustinFields@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Putting you and Vrabel on my list of people that owe me

[–] ShufflingSloth@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Are you gonna wuss out with a Chinook or risk getting the Sockeye beak?

[–] SlipperyTurtle25@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Amanda Bynes?

I mean, I bet it upsets him he never beat Michigan or won the Big Ten, but at the same time, cmon he's leaving. His stock won't get higher

[–] MITJustinFields@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

And the risk if he underperforms or gets hurt would be millions loss. NIL is paltry compared to a first round pick contract.

[–] mesayousa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (24 children)

Whenever I see a college player who’s mocked top 10 consider returning to school I think of Matt Barkley staying another year and fucking up his shoulder

[–] Poseidon4T2F7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Ironically you can throw another USC QB in that mix with Leinart, guy was the sure fire #1 and stayed his Snr year the fell to 10, obviously not a drop like Barkley but still significant at the time.

So which team gets him? Early guesses.

Crying Ryan unable to beat Michigan with all the talent he’s had over the years is some next level shit

[–] johnq11@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (8 children)

With how bad offense has been this year, the NFL can’t afford him to wait another year

[–] PeaberryCoffee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Suits are going to show up and "convince" him to come out?

Sure he doesn't. We all know he will be there.

[–] Autocrat777@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (5 children)

He should stay. I heard some guy is going to slap himself with a live salmon if he doesn't come out.

Perhaps staying would be the best course of action. Then OP will have to slap himself with a salmon

[–] GimbleJ@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

His draft stock is astronomical and staying in college another year risks missing out on millions of dollars. It's unlikely but you never know if you'll get a career ending injury. Get the bag while you can.

[–] ConferenceSlow1091@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What’s bag?

He’s already a generational millionaire.

You’ve got nothing to prove at the college level. Go get paid, Marv (preferably by the New England Patriots)

[–] StefonDiggsHS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

he will. /thread

All I know is my gut says "maybe"

[–] killerk13@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (11 children)

Lmao he’s the best player in the draft his stock can’t possibly get any higher, he’s gone.

I will slap OP with a live salmon in his cock if he doesn’t. Hard… really really hard

[–] Thecobs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Big if true.

[–] TallEnoughJones@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Thanks, that's useful information?

[–] bigsteven34@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s a fool if he doesn’t go pro.

I love college sports, but go get paid man!

[–] emack2232@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does he not care about my dynasty team?

[–] Quirky_Scratch_1755@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If I'm MHjr there is no fucking way I'm risking the first 2-3 years of my career with Fields throwing me the ball.

They all say that in the heat of the moment, not many receivers get to be picked in the top 2-3 picks and becoming instant millionaires.

[–] ConferenceSlow1091@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m still not seeing what the hype is all about.

Sure, he’s…good?

But he doesn’t come close to someone like JJ

[–] Papaloxs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Best to see where he projected to go lol
