That doesn't sound like the LCD-X for sure. Can't imagine it's got anything to do with your amp either, because the LCD-Xs have a high sensitivity and low impedance, making them easier to drive than even some iems I've come across. You should definitely look into getting a replacement.
It's because like most Audeze headphones they are crap but benefit from the people at headphones.com telling us all what a wonder they are
