- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Bullshit. Start anyway. They are doing it. And you can (and should) slow it down as much as possible through courts, where applicable...but a lot of what they are doing is totally "legal"...just...outside of the normal decorum of civilized politics.

Has anyone done the numbers nationwide? If everyone min-maxes their preferred party, where would we stand? What gains would be made? So wins?
Haven't done the math, but the prevailing thought seems to be red states already extensively gerrymandered their districts to retain what they have, blue states potentially have more juice to squeeze.
Red states outnumber blue states close to 2 to 1 though. Even if blue gains more proportionally they might still lose more overall.

What is this "if" business? They've been openly doing this for decades. Take REDMAP for example. Democrats have failed to respond.
As long as democrats fail to respond and just play defense, they will continue to need 53% of the vote to win the presidency and will continue losing federal and state legislative majorities.

Reminder that doing this at this point while cathartic in the fact that would mean Democrats are finally not stupid and playing the game but the game is unwinnable at this point because they've high roaded themselves into a completely unwinnable situation with this.
