If a kick/punt returner is able to lift his hand to call a fair catch, QBs should be forced to show a hand signal to declare themselves “down.” Too many fakes going out of bounds or potential slides can hurt a defense.

They should really just call late hits exactly the same way regardless of whether it's a QB or RB. If you're a runner, act like one.

This is the real answer. If QBs are going to run down the sidelines and fake going out, let em get blown the fuck up every now and then.

The problem is QB play is already at a 10-year low, and the NFL does everything possible to fuel the offensive highlight machine.

They should have to sign it in sign language. “Hey bro, I’m totally going down to the ground so please don’t hurt me”

Mahomes does this all the time and it's about time someone blasted him because it's patently unfair the way he uses the sidelines and the rules to screw over the defense.

while holding a ball they are trying to protect they should raise a hand?
