I know we say this a lot, but this year really seems to be one of the most stacked years in terms of talent and parity. Almost every matchup is must-watch for one reason or another. It's a great year to be a basketball fan.
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Even Wizards vs Pistons tonight is worth watching, for other reasons ofc
The only bad part of the nba right now is the ref power trip.
Ref power tripping is the bad part of the nba every year
And we feel like it's getting worst every year
Absolutely, I'm sure there's an actual term for this, but the "who's beaten who" chart has got to be at Pepe Silvia levels.
Jalen Suggs moves them up 10 positions
Jalen is a DOG
Suns should be higher
And the Nuggets should be lower. I know they'll be fine once Murray is healthy and are still the team to beat, but they're only 3-5 in their last 8 games, with the 3 wins coming against the lowly Pistons, Clippers and Spurs. Seems like a slide like that should drop you lower than 4th (which is where they apparently were a week ago). The Thunder and Magic (who beat Denver this week) at the very least should have leapfrogged them for now.
Agreed.. It seems like they're ranking the Nuggets on "if they were fully healthy" but not the Suns.
Like yeah, with Murray they are an amazing team... they clearly aren't a top team without him. Just like the Suns are a mid team with just 1 of their 3 stars.
Right. If these rankings are just supposed to be a reflection of the projected rank of every team at the end if we assume they're all fully healthy, then the rankings wouldn't really change from one week to the next, and would be pretty different than what we're seeing here. Like I said, fully healthy, Denver is likely still the favorites this year, but they've lost a lot of games lately and it seems like that should show up in these types of weekly rankings.
Hopefully we can get our first away win tomorrow, would really set the tone for the team as we look more than good at home already. We’ve been so close in some of our games as well 😭
“The Warriors have played the league’s toughest schedule, with 15 of their 17 games having come against teams that currently have winning records. Only one other team – the Lakers (12) – has played more than 11 games against that group.”
I’m holding on to this for my copium juice.
So Orlando has the same record as Milwaukee, beat them handedly already this season, yet is behind them?
It’s power rankings, not standings.
Also thumped Boston and pulled of a come back over Denver. We can’t say we get no respect but we aren’t getting much
Power rankings tend to have some pretty strong inertia. It'll take them time to catch up to how good you are, but they'll get there.
We should be top 5.
Over who?
Probably everyone. They’re playing better than any team outside of the Suns right now.
