Hi r/Entrepreneur I am a 19 year old. I am currently doing E-Commerce through Etsy and and have made £5,000 in profit from sales and I am looking to scale my sources of income further to use this £5,000 and turn it into much more however I’m stuck on what to invest in. I have also recently started Forex trading however I understand that this will take time for me to make money as it is a process and not a get rich quick scheme. Any help would be appreciated ❤️

Why not double down on what has already been working for you?

[–] Imaginary-Prompt-991@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Why not double down on what has already been working for you?

You should 10x down on what's working. You've already made 5k online. Do you know how many people would kill to make even 10% of that online? You've been watching too many YT and TikTok gurus preach garbage.

Take things slow. Double down on what's working, and go from there.

What are you selling and can you give some strategy for etsy

[–] ExoticRekii@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Honestly man just finding cheap jewellery items on Ali express for cheap and listing on Etsy for a profit

[–] AdSoft6392@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

So breaking Etsy's terms and conditions then?

[–] Successful_Sun_7617@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Bro these ecom tactics and niche like jewelry all died out in 2017-2018. That etsy Ali express dropshipping is cooked and done. Btw an AI just came out that flags websites for dropshipping. Pretty much most masses know what dropshytting is and how everything is marked tf up price wise.

  1. Make a course about selling on Etsy
  2. Forget about money problems and retire 🏖️

Assets that generate income

Why would you aspire to be in forex instead of equities? It's possible to get an edge in forex but by that time you'll have an even larger edge in equities, a smaller less liquid market. All advantages big firms (PhD math/stats guys, cluster of h100s, special trading priviledges) have in equities is larger in forex but their margins are lower.

Etsy and forex. Gen Zs are cooked. None of them want to work, they want to lounge in front of a laptop and make lambos rain from the clouds.

Why tf would anyone want to be a slave until 65-70?

[–] brad9991@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

There's a LOT between wanting to do nothing and "being a slave till 70"

its working for them, maybe we old folks need to learn from them instead of working for other people for all our youthful years.

Have you looked into IULs? If built correctly can be a powerful tool to increase your portfolio with tax benefits

“The biggest problem entrepreneurs run into is going to where the grass is greener to figure out what is gonna work, when in reality all of it could work and get you to your goals. What ensures you won’t succeed is putting 50% of your focus in one business and 50% in another business and trying to compete in a marketplace where everyone is putting 100% of their focus into one thing.” Something along the lines of what Alex homozi says a lot. I think it definitely applies here.

Since you're into E-Commerce and exploring Forex, consider diversifying within E-Commerce. Maybe explore new product lines or marketing strategies to reach a broader audience. Also, keep honing your skills in Forex—it's a smart long-term play. Remember, it's a journey, not a sprint. And hey, if you ever feel overwhelmed or need guidance, check out ScatterMind.co. It's been a game-changer for me, especially in navigating the entrepreneurial path with ADHD. They've got this cool career quiz that helps you figure out your next steps.

I was in a similar spot a while back, juggling between E-Commerce and Forex trading. It's a grind, but trust me, it pays off. My biggest struggle was staying juggling both and staying focused. I believe it’s due to my ADHD, so I got a coach through ScatterMind to help. A coach helped me follow my plans and ensure I wasn’t getting lost on both projects. Just a thought
Anyway, kudos on the £5,000 profit! That's awesome. Keep hustling, and you'll turn it into much more. Good luck!

donot invest in forex until you’ve had your detailed research done, i would suggest that you focus on scaling your etsy business or start a service based business and it also depends on what kind of education you’re currently pursuing in college!

[–] EathanM@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Okay, take this however you like.

With ecommerce, listen to your first $5k. That says you've got something.

Think around the edges and you'll find ways to expand. There's a lot more money on the table. A LOT MORE. You've got this.

I have also recently started Forex trading

Cash out. Also cash out of any crypto. Spare money can go into a decent ETF that will treat you better.

Hey bro , have this strategy working like crazy 🔥 for me a ton of other people absolutely crushing it with daily sales and generating insane ROI. Would that be relevant to your situation?

[–] MrKeys_X@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Stop stop stop. To be frank, you've 'only' made 5k. You do not have disposable income yet. Put the customer data in a AI tool, and ask it what your perfect customer profile is. And double down on that. Its called Pareto effect: 80% of sales comes from 20% of customers. You're on a roll, keep going and stay focused. Its to early to split your focus. Good luck.

Check out the Prince's Trust 18-30 enterprise scheme.

You'll learn things you already know, but the access to grant money and 3 years of free business mentorship is going to be way more value adding than any regarded move you make in ForEx.

Ah, Why you sound like just me from another edge. I gave etsy a try but have to move back due to country issues ( did partnered, scaled, and scammed lol ) Whatever, I just tried what i have my hands on and literally in the same boat as you and 19 too. I always fear, why tf it's only source of munee for me. But scaling is definitely first thing to do ! I am just trying to jump on another plane before this one crashes. Didn't found so far XD

[–] ExoticRekii@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

It takes time for stores to pop off it took my 2 months to make my first sale and after that my store went crazy but the problem with Etsy is one you get taken down it’s hard to rebuild again. I own multiple stores but my first store was the one that popped off and the rest do sales here and there

[–] Mikaa7@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

You got multiple stores ! You create them or buy, if so what's the best source you recommend to get few. I really want to get into etsy !

[–] TwiNeedle4@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Stop the forex you won’t make money in it without experience and large capital you have been watching to many videos .invest everything back into stock for Etsy get eBay and Amazon going .

[–] _chacoman7_@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Depends on your risk tolerance. The quickest way to make some money is by staking some advantage gambling pros. But obviously that is a lot of risk. Otherwise, you can invest in the stock market either by picking a blue chip stock or a MMF.

[–] RuksiDragon@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

If you want to learn Forex i would recommend you start from TJRs bootcamp, learn the basics and then move on to ICT.

[–] LinkLift@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Just stick with it and dont change a running system! If you can earn more that 5k from it do it!
