It's more due to the fact that all the owners have significantly more money nowadays and are more willing to be aggressive with building a winning team. It has nothing to do with sports gambling besides that industry pumping more money into the sport to allow it.
Consider this, it’s been 4 years since the Patriots won a Super Bowl and Frank Reich was fired mid season in two of those years. Coincidence?

as much as i hate all the gambling ads, commercials, and discussions about dumb parlay bets by announcers during the games... your conclusion that there's a relationship between gambling and coaches getting fired is unfounded
