Smooth, but this is not the most athletic play I’ve seen. When I think athletic, I’m thinking sprinting down the court, beating everyone actively looking to play defense, and jumping out the gym. This is nice, and he has a lot of potential but this clips does not scream most athletic player in the league.
crazy how Amen is even more athletic than this, I remember a similar play with Amen where he outran the entire defense coast to coast similar to this, he’s quicker, jumps higher, and flashier too with his athleticism damn, these two are gonna be so good
I actually think its the other way around. Ausar looks like the better raw athlete, to me at least. Amen looks a little more fluid with the ball.
Yeah I think it’s simple.
They’re close as raw athletes, Amen’s fluidity and flexibility makes him better as a driver and more acrobatic.

I remember when people said his brother is a different caliber of athlete than him definitively…I’m not sure they really watched tape of him at OTE

He puts in so much power with every step yet he does it with such touch that it looks like he floats then when he actually launches it comes from nowhere because it was there all along.

Is he not carrying like crazy here? His hand goes fully under the ball like 3 times.
The dribble to start the break looks like a carry but the others don't look like carries to me, by today's standards anyway. He doesn't seem to kill the momentum or control the ball from below once he gets going.
oh my god it looks fake when he goes up for that layup. I literally said "fuckin shit!" and started laughing when i realized he jumped
World class bounce for sure but that defense was hilarious
