That's the company with the lead poisoning issue right?

Lead poisoning is a common euphemism for death by bullet, on account of bullets commonly being made of lead.

I'll give you some more minutes to think about the joke before I'll explain it.

I proudly pay for a digital subscription to The Guardian.

I've heard people give them shit, but all the articles I remember of theirs were pretty decent.

Yeah they used to be a period of time about 25 - 30 years ago when they didn't exactly proofread their articles, and occasionally spelt their own name incorrectly. Hence the ongoing discworld gag.

But these days they're not too bad. They are certainly less of a rag than anything owned by Murdoch, which admittedly is not a particularly high bar, but that's their main competition.

Discworld gag? I'm American, what did I miss?

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 19 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I'm guessing they've never heard of the Streisand Effect. I missed the story about how they secretly paid nursing homes to reduce hospitalizations for vulnerable patients.

Thanks United Healthcare lawyers! I wouldn't have known that otherwise!

I think everyone already knows about UnitedHealth, and most are in support of capital punishment for their entire C-Staff

Sounds like the people in charge at UnitedHealthcare need another visit.

UnitedHealthcare can UnitedGoFuckItself!

What if this is not to sue The Guardian but as a way to disclose their sources so that they can uncover the sources of the leaks?
