I gave the hypothetical to my friends that if you were given 1000 years to train to play LeBron in a 1v1 (time is frozen while you train), would you beat him? In my opinion this is obvious you still stand no chance, but my friends are adamant that you would win.

No shot. No amount of training can help. That’s why these athletes are legit 1 in a million. Even training for a 1000 years, a 41 year old Kirk hinrich probably beats you 11-2.

Is the training in the room?

Why wouldn't someone be able to beat lebron after training for 1000 years? 1000 years of making yourself better everyday. I'd smoke lebron.

Depends if it’s one of those all around train environments that can adjust my genetic make up.

Like let me grow a foot and gain 100 pounds.

Or if it’s one of those, you always break your limits and it allows those skills to be remembered. So you’re going to be a 100% shooter with unlimited range.

If it’s just normal gym for 1000 years. Yeah no. LeBron is going to smoke me even after 100000 years.

No because you arent 6'8" with a 7'0" wingspan and youre just gonna get blocked every single time

As an NBA fan living in France, who can’t really watch the games, I kinda wish we had more chatter about what’s actually happening on the court, but at least we’ve got plenty of player X is washed and Ditka and the Bears vs. LeBron and if Mugsy Bogues was 11 feet tall

Shitposting champions… this sub is a dynasty.

You? Haha no chance.

Maybe if fatigued and aging was turned on for lbj.

A decent amount of people could’ve made the nba if they trained for a few years, I say it’s possible especially if you’re a 6’5+ athlete

Realistically, for the average person? No. You can train all you want, but at some point you are going to max out, and the size disadvantage will probably doom you. Even if you could hypothetically train to the point of being a knockdown 50% shooter from 30 feet out, you'd score on him but would still have the fundamental problem of trying to stop Lebron with your 5'10 body.

Now, if you were 6'8? Then yeah, if you had 1000 years to build up muscle and train in basketball, you should be a pretty fucking good player. At least good enough to give Lebron a fight.

If I was given 1,000 years to train to beat LeBron, I'd spend 999.9 of them pretending like I was training but not actually training.

Because I know I wouldn't beat him, and also training for anything for 1,000 years sounds like a terrible way to spend 1,000 years.
