Yes, he should be traded to the Bears - you can have all our 2024 draft picks and Justin Fields.

Here are the players that don’t need to be held accountable:

Justin Herbert Keenan Allen Khalil Mack Tuli tuipolotu Josh Palmer Mike Williams Morgan fox

[–] Slugggo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago
  • LAC v Miami: 4 point lead, 2 minutes left. Lost 36-34.
  • LAC v Tenn: 4 point lead, 3 minutes left. Lost 27-24 in OT.
  • LAC v Dallas: Tied, 3 minutes left. Lost 20-17.
  • LAC v Detroit: Tied, 3 minutes left. Lost 41-38.
  • LAC v Green Bay: 4 point lead, 3 minutes left. Lost 23-20.

Why would Herbert do this? 🤷

Yeah it’s Herbies fault, why isn’t he volunteering to throw to himself. Why isn’t he calling the defense, these are answers I demand immediately

Chargers have scored more points than the chiefs this year. Offense is fine (other than when they blow the protection in the 2-minute drill & let a free rusher tee off on Herbert at the end of each game)

Low bar

[–] Autobot-N@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Do we though

[–] FatherDamo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

9 for us is a little generous. We will need to earn top ten with a win in Houston methinks.

[–] Old_Web374@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Herbert is the inverse Jalen Hurts this year.

[–] NEpatsfan64@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

give herbert the second best WR room in the league, the best OL, the best DL, and a competent coaching staff and see how he plays lmao

[–] TeddysRevenge@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Herbert is the reason they’ve won as many games as they have

Once he starts playing defense, I’ll start blaming Chargers losses on him

[–] Funnypenguin97@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

God he reminds me of Stafford so much

[–] natethegreat838@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I was literally about to say the same thing

[–] AshBlackstone78@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The real is issue is coaching. It’s among the worst in the league. Solve that, and they’ll start winning.

[–] hoppergym@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I want him on this team for his entire career but I also want him to go to a good organization just to prove all these ridiculous hot take artists wrong. It’s Philip rivers all over again.

[–] JT1757@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

not even clicking that bs. the title is ridiculous

[–] Comprehensive_Main@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Lots of Herbert defenders in this sun. Man is supposed to be this elite qb but he’s not performing Iike one. His play is on par with Russell Wilson this year. Hell he’s actually performing slightly worse than Wilson

[–] NEpatsfan64@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

purdy has put up worse stats than him despite having a better o-line, better defense, better WR room, better WR room, and an actually competent coaching staff

[–] QuirkyScorpio29@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I don't know what you mean by worse....Purdy is leading the league in almost every single passing metric so this is factually incorrect.

BTW,Keenan Allen,Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler are a top position group too.

You can defend Herbert without grasping at straws.Staley is the problem...but Purdy has been the best QB in the NFL this season so you should keep his name out of your Herbert defense lol.

[–] fatcootermeat@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The 9ers would trade Purdy and 3 firsts for Herbert if he was made available clown

[–] thy_armageddon@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Well if there’s anyone who won’t have bias in the arguments, it’s a sports-betting writer.

[–] DryDefenderRS@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Well we don't, that's the team's job.

Failing to score on a 2 min drill against the Ravens is pretty bad though. That, and if you spend basically the entire game trailing, any decent QB is going to run up his stats from optimal aggressive pass-heavy playcalling.

[–] BlackMathNerd@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Get him some coaching that doesn’t suck

[–] pickleparty16@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Herber is the only reason I worry about playing the chargers

[–] witchgrove@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Herbert really is Romo reborn. Brain dead take.

[–] Blind_Melone@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Hes the dude spraying Pam all over our WR/RB's hands!

[–] Rapidceltic@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This is a 2 win team with 20+ starting QBs in the league.

[–] CodyNorthrup@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Fine you can come to SF too, but there’s only 1 catch.

I can only pay you $1M 🥶

[–] onnthwanno@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I want to see any current WB do better with this cursed franchise. How about this, the team as available is bad.

Receiving room had three playmakers, down to one some practice squad players and a potential 1st round bust. Does Williams drop that game winner against GB I doubt it.

O-Line a strength of the team in the preseason is a shell without competent Center play. Linsey is probably retiring due to a heart condition. Right side is playing awful and can’t adjust, can Herbert set the blocking better, yeah but that wasn’t a need with Linsey.

RB room is barren. Austin is a shell of himself following the injury. Spiller and Kelley are non-factors with little upside at this point. Line does them no favors with horrible run blocking.

TE is the relative strength which should tell you something. Everett has been a nice FA signing and Parham is a good contested space weapon. Both have had injuries and missed time.

[–] natethegreat838@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Blaming Justin Herbert for the Charger's problems was not on my 2023 Bingo card

[–] A_Style_of_Fire@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I will trade you my franchise QB’s failures and unaccountability and we’ll just call it square, k?

[–] heelhooksarefun@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

No quarterback in history can overcome how bad the team is this year.

[–] Easy-Priority-2703@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I don't understand why people are so determined to bury Herbert

[–] OatmealKing93@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I remember when there offense was going to be way better under Kellen Moore
