My dac dongle failed and now it only plays the beat in very low quality, almost no vocals. How does it work? (alien.top)

Seems quite interesting to me. Do modern audio files contain separate channels for the vocals and instumental? I use Tidal lower tier if that's important. I'm not looking to fix it, just curious of this phenomenon. Sorry if the question is weird, I don't know much about audio.
