I know mine's frowned upon but for me its the Sony XM3/4. They fit perfectly on my head and dont feel to heavy, apart from the sound I think its a great headphone. Anyways what's your most comfortable headphone you have ever worn?

B&O portal are extremely comfortable.

iBasso SR2 are the only headphones I can wear for as long as I want without ever feeling discomfort. Audio Technica R70X are close second.

Phillips Fidelio X2, god I miss wearing those

[–] Jontun189@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

HD598, with my HD6XX being a runner up even though many people have a hell of a hard time getting them comfy for their use.

Personally, momentum 4, I would say 600s, but I have to move it a bit after 3h

Logitech G435, sound is awful tho, most comfy usable sounding one Takstar Pro 82

[–] Matteo_ElCartel@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

HD600 very comfy

[–] evanmico@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

HD650 or HD598, honestly forget they're even there. Only nuisance is that the HD650s have a really low clamping force so if you lean back in your chair, they kind of slip back and make the sound quality worse. Regardless, when upright, it ain't an issue and they literally just disappear after a while and you forget they're there.

Fidelio X2HRs. Memory foam pads and a springy headband. I can wear them for hours without fatigue.

HD700. The hate on these things isn't warranted.

AKG K712 Pro. They are as light as feather and I can't feel any clamp force anywhere on my head.

Broadly speaking, I feel all my AKGs have a better fit compared to my other ones

For IEMs, it’s the Sony IER-M9

It’s the proprietary cable that makes the difference, though

[–] moophus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

if you want cheap and confortable on-ears, my go to are the Creative Jam V2 are super duper light (biggest factor of comfort for me) and they sound great. the build feels really cheap though...because they are cheap but they last forever.

My trusty old QC35's.

SONY MDR-1AM2 and its not even close.

A lot of my headphones are comfortable, yet on the heavy side, so when I first tried YH-5000SE, it was a breath of fresh air, they're light as a daisy, pictures also don't do them justice.

Gotta be those egg shaped hifiman.

My M50X with gigantic fat fluffy memory foam pads from AliExpress. Not exactly a connoisseur.

Unironically, an unbranded pair i got off Amazon for £15.

[–] Argon288@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

HD598SR or something, got them really cheap but you honestly forget they were even on your head.

[–] the_one-and_only-nan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

+1 on the XM4s. After I got my XM3s I wore them on average 6 hours a day for a year and a half, now I've hady XM4s and while I'm not in school so I can't wear them as much, on the weekends I'll use them for hours on end and they're always comfy

Shure 840a are as light as you can get for full size closed back, with velour pads it's an all day, zero ear ache driver... 0.95grams

[–] tvang187@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

T60rp Argons by Modhouse. Giant suede Xenon pads, and custom deerskin headband makes for some serious comfort.

[–] DriveForeign1418@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mine weren’t out of the box. They’re the Monoprice Retros but I replaced the pads with Brainwave hybrids. I can wear em all day

Meze Empyrean / Elite.

Most comfortable, Shure srh1840, but I hated the sound.

AKG k240, they weigh absolutely nothing and clamp very lightly on your head. Can wear them for 6+ hours straight every day.
