Hello, everyone

does anybody here have an experience with broken hinge on Audio-Technica headphones? I had my ATH-M40X headphones for something like a year now and unfortunately, I was not taking proper care of them as I should. Now the hinge on the right side is broken :(. Do you know if it is possible to buy spare parts? I tried contacting Audio-Technica support, but did not get any response yet. I also tried to repair them by 3D printing the broken part, but the model I found didn't fit well.

I am located in Czechia/Slovakia.

Take pics. It's a weak point in their yoke / hinge design but likely fixable.

Sorry, but I don't know how to add photo to the post or to comment in this subreddit. Respectively, Reddit does not allow me to add the photo.

Using zip ties to repair works great. Did this to mine a couple years ago and is still holding. https://www.reddit.com?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1

So, I glued it together with epoxy. It was the only strong "glue" I had. It works for now, with bit of a luck it will be ok.

So, the epoxy I used didn't hold very well, but I got a response from the support, and now I am able to buy the spare parts.
