Thanks for showing this highlight! Saw it last night and was so impressed. Bam is such a likable player and this year I’ve noticed a bit more confidence in his decision making offensively. Good for him

Khris hitting the shot after this was the backbreaker though. So demoralizing to play 22 perfect seconds of defense and then make them take a fading away corner shot at the buzzer and they make it.

I’d honestly settle for him making All-Defense 1st team.
He was 1 vote shy of tying JJJ for the last spot on the 2022 1st team (and would have probably gotten more votes had he not missed 25 games with a thumb injury)
Feels like Myles Garrett in the NFL. Always considered one of if not the best defender, just never had it all come together for the award (though hopefully that changes this year).
His defense this year is looking even better than last year. Absolute game changer
Spo has the team playing drop this year which lets Bam cover more ground and anchor more stongly.
Although Spo gonna Spo so the defensive coverage shifts every few possessions. We have lots of switchy wings this year so Bam can still find himself locking up guards at the perimeter like here.
Without him out defense wouldn’t work.

Man, I thought we were winning the game after this and Middleton makes a fadeaway 3 with 2 seconds left. Was a real fun game with both teams going back and forth.
Dame wanted this switch too, and Bam has done a much better job this year and protecting the rim. Looked like Dame got day light and he chases with the block, last year he probably doesn’t block that and it ends up being an offensive rebound or something.
Hopefully Bam’s DPOY tour continues and he gets the respect he deserves

AD is a better rim protector and a solid on ball defender. Bam is still a good rim protector but an elite on ball defender. Both are great defenders. Bam is much more versatile though.
