He’ll have to repair his *trade value in okc

2nd round pick to the hornets.
Top-16 protected FRP from the Hornets
Well his points and efficiency are both down this year so that really hurts. He’s basically a goodwill version of Cade so honestly very little.
the league is pretty skeptical of point guards that can't shoot
Giddey is honestly a negative and I think OKC is better when SGA doesn't play with him.
He can't shoot, can't defend, and needs the ball in his hands to be effective. You can fool a FO into thinking he has value but I think his flaws are being highlighted. His value is going down, not up.
Top 17 protected
He’s not even that good regardless of the controversy. Guy is a “pass first” guard mostly because he’s allergic to scoring the ball.
They could get a barely used Alex Caruso if they're ready to bid adieu to some of those picks they're hoarding.
I don't see whats special about him. He can't shoot 3's and can't get to the line. Basically taller Ricky Rubio without the defense. Below average starter but could be a decent backup I guess.
Some minor assets
He’s probably most valuable in whatever state has the lowest age of consent laws… so Oklahoma.
Pretty low, dude is more of a prospect. He could turn out really good or he’s just what he is and you run the risk of him going for more teenagers which is a time bomb.
Putting aside his off the court issues, his complete lack of improvement from last season is concerning. He was poised to really make a leap this year and see his value go through the roof, but now teams are going to be a bit more cautious. It's entirely possible he has plateaued.
Zero chance of Lauri unless the Thunder were throwing in a bunch of picks to go with Giddey.
Rolling in the off court stuff, I'm not sure anybody would trade for him until more info comes out. Even if he skates by legally, no team really wants the PR hit of trading for the player who sleeps with high school girls.
