Only 14 guys make the roster, so you just take the top 14 and cut the rest, no regard given to contracts.

with Ausar, Ivey and like Gallo off the bench

Anywhere among the bottom 14 teams? That's a no brainer lol. I think they're knocking on the doors of a play-in spot.

Ausar can be switched in as a defense expert

I think it is a solid 30 wins team

i think the prospect of deni/ausar wing defense is super tantalizing, but the team still feels super weak. i think i might try something like

tyus/cade/bojan (deni for now)/kuz/duren(or gafford)

for this team to ever be good, they need cade to play well, and hopefully this lineup can maximize him? kuz gives him another scoring threat to take the defensive attention off him a bit, tyus is a steady pg to take some of that pressure off him, and bojan is the best shooter/spacer on either team, and in the meantime deni provides better shooting than ausar at least while still being a great defender. if ideally this works, and cade shows promise as a shooter and ballhandler, tyus can be swapped out for ivey, ausar, or maybe poole
