I am relatively new fan of NBA since Lebrow - GSW era. But I don’t remember this amount of comebacks. Every now and then there is a team that comes back from 15-25 points deficit. Is there a reason why is that?

There is about 22 more three point attempts per game since then. Thus you have huge amount of swings

Better offenses across the board (due to the three point explosion) means that the bar for an unassailable lead has been raised

We just saw a 30-0 run, and it didn't result in a win. More than ever, its a game of runs. Faster pace, more 3s, better spacing. If you can get hot and be the one playing half court defense, you can get on a scoring burst.
