I need a change of scenery. Where are a couple places I can go in Europe that's got good Internet and is signicantly cheaper than London?

Barcelona. Beautiful city, nice coworkings, fast internet, comparatively cheap accommodation, great culture, amazing food, hot summer, mild winter, beach and sunbathing for half the year, mountains and skiing for the other half. Not much more that you could ask for.

Significantly cheaper would be Balkans, Greece, or Turkey imo. Stuff in Portugal is a lot cheaper too, but rent is not nowadays.

Safe, much cheaper than London or western Europe, friendly locals in Albania. Check https://digitalalbania.wordpress.com

It’s always been Tenerife for European winters 😎

Spain because of the weather, the culture and nature. Its also relatively affordable.

What's the rent like for a nice 1 bed apartment in a city and in the countryside? Everytime I check I feel like I get silly prices they use to snare naive digital nomads

[–] OnlineDopamine@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah prices are silly if you aren’t from North America.

Palermo in Sicily. There is an expat community, the weather is good and it is cheap.

I think Poland is a hidden gem. Most of the major cities are great with beautiful old towns. Very developed with a lot of conveniences and amenities yet very affordable and I like the food/culture/people.

Poland is cool, winters super cold 🤭

Hi there, just checked with filter: Good Wifi, Co-Working, <2000 USD COL and min 10° C avg in Dec here:

https://theworldtravelindex.com/en/filter/results/?query=#region_2|time_dec|weather_10-20|cost_of_living_2000|wifi_filter|coworking_filter

It comes down mainly to different places in France, Spain and Portugal. If you have further preferences (beach, nightlife) you can add them and further drill down.

If you are good with the cold, Armenia is very affordable. Near Yerevan, like Artashat, is a good idea.
