One month ago or so I got my start in audiophile music with the HD 58X and a FiiO BTR5.

Then a HD 660S(1) with a FiiO Q11

Now I am awaiting the arrival of a pair of Beyer DT1990 Pros and an iFi xDSD Gryphon.

Whoops. πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Rabbit hole indeed.

You guys are bad influences (but good 😊)

You are chasing something that doesn’t exist. Enjoy what you have.

I'm looking to jump into the headphone game too, been a budget audiophile for speakers for 3 years. I stumbled across a Fiio mechanical keyboard with a DAC / headphone amp inside of it, this would totally solve the need for a portable headphone amp and throw in a sweet keyboard! Thoughts?

How is Q11 ?

This is a dangerous hobby. I started with some IEMs earlier this year. They are so affordable now. Somehow I ended up buying 4 - Chu, CRA, Hola, Salnotes Zero.

That should have been enough, but no.

I had to then go and foray into the world of headphones. I already owned a pair of HD518 and DT 770 pro 80. Now suddenly I also own the Sundaras and just this weekend I bought the HD650. Spiralling out of control but I love the options lol

Try the He6se if you can afford a good amp

The ef400 almost powers it perfectly until I got a stronger Amp

I now use the R2r dac from the ef400 and pair it with the Smsl sp400 an amp that's supposed to have like 8 w into 50ohm but they don't have quiet that much

Love my DT 1990 Pros! Hope you enjoy them too! Just found the factory clamping pressure a bit too high so I stretched them using several pillows.

I'm thinking of upgrading my DAC since I've been using the creative sounblaster x7 since first year university since it can simultaneously get input from my desktop, laptop, and PS5. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
