MODERATORS

A three-judge federal appeals court panel Thursday rejected President Donald Trump’s request that it overturn a lower court ruling barring his attempted military deployment in Chicago.

The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals panel’s unanimous decision will for now partially halt Trump’s military intervention in the Windy City. The panel said the administration has offered “insufficient evidence” to justify the attempted takeover.

You really have to wonder what's going with American government and Corporate America in the background

The entire news cycle has been taken over by the ICEcapades and no one is talking about anything else.

Only if you only get your news from social media. There has been other stuff going on. US economy is weakening, there has been a Nissan recall, some tech news, apparently another bank either has or will soon fail. Same old, same old.

My social media feed though are nothing but protests, ICE misbehavior, and propaganda from all sides.

Might want to pick an actual news organization to follow to see what else is going on in the world. Lately, for me it has been apnews.

The courts are keeping a tenuous peace for now, but if SCOTUS steps in to fuck with it I will not judge anyone who starts fighting back. People getting fucked with don't have time to wait for them to stop irreparable harm so as far as I'm concerned they should take up arms until it happens.
