I'm very lucky, we still have some native pollinators here. Not like. Many. But some!

normalize fear of invasive species

Normalize not calling everything invasive without mentioning which country you're in. People in Europe are pulling out "English ivy" because some idiot on Reddit told them "it's invasive'.

Very true, however in this case I figured the meme provided the appropriate context of North American ecosystems vs British wildflowers and the specific example of garlic mustard

Garlic mustard...? 🤔

That sounds awesome.

I get it occasionally in my yard the last few years. It's invasive where I'm at. However I do see the appeal of it, it smells like it's name, garlic and mustard. I never tried cooking with it. I should next time.

Perhaps culinary.

Ecologically, it is snuffing out everything in the woods behind my house

Its quite bitter and doesnt have the fun spiciness of regular mustard

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Is it just a type of mustard plant or is it a garlic and mustard sauce/mix?

[–] Mavvik@lemmy.ca 1 points 23 hours ago

Its a plant, but I dont know if its a true mustard
