The real debate is whether the new leader will be more or less crazy than Rustad. And whether that pulls the party apart.

I am sadly reminded of Kenny's remarks right before he was deposed and the true crazies took hold of the UCP in Alberta. I sure hope the BC conservatives don't have another Danielle in their wings, waiting to usurp leadership and send the whole province into a descent to madness.

He wasn't competent enough to pull off the whacky things they wanted to do.

I doubt they'll run someone more to the center. They'll be even further to the right is my guess, but they'll try to find someone who's not a dumbass at the same time.
