I'm trying to watch DS9 with my partner. I've seen the series a couple times before, but it brings me such comfort that I don't make it much past the intro before I'm lights-out, no matter what time is is
Star Trek
Welcome to a Star Trek community where you’re free to chat and share your opinions about all things Trek!
I want to have a place where fans can come to praise, discuss, and even criticise things in the Star Trek franchise. No show or movie is perfect, and I don't believe people should be silenced for having a dissenting opinion. That being said, there are still a few rules.
Be Nice - No personal attacks. You can disagree with someone's opinion, but it needs to stop there.
No Slurs - This is applicable to ethnicity, religion, gender, or anything else.
No Adult Content - Keep it family friendly.
No Spamming or Trolling - Consistently spamming comments or trolling is just not needed.
Keep Topics Trek Related - This is a Star Trek community, so of course discussion should stay in that area! That means no real world politics.
Sounds like a good cure for insomnia then!
I hate to admit this, but I grew up on TNG at a time when TOS was no longer on broadcast TV. I've tried to watch it in the past but was never able to make it passed episode 2.
The last week, I've been watching TOS on the star Trek channel on Pluto TV and can say that I am quite enjoying the entire experience.
Before TOS started, I watched TNG from Descent to All Good Things on the same channel.
There are definitely some rough edges and shaky episodes, but also some really good ones! I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying it.
Power-watched the whole season 2 of Strange New Worlds and the first couple of episodes of S3.
My spouse had recently mentioned about watching through the first two seasons of SNW again, we rushed through them pretty fast earlier in the year. With the short seasons it doesn't take long!
I had finished up A Stitch in Time, which was pretty interesting! I would like to try a few other books too, but I haven't decided what yet. Other than that, I watched a few DS9 episodes and patiently waited for SNW season 4!
Glad you liked it!
Yes, I'm glad I finally got a copy and tried it. I usually try to find cheaper/free books due to how much it would cost to keep up with my reading habits, but sometimes it's worth paying full price for one!
Yes, it was good
