Good. If it went on too long and got bad, that'd be a shame

At least give us Colin Robinson spin-off!

But in all seriousness, it's probably for the best. Guillermo story got so ridiculously tedious and overplayed.

Maybe about his yo-yo career

I've actually warmed up to it a lot. I love the colorful, wacky direction they've taken it. It feels a little more Addams Family than the movie, and I think it's great. I love that every episode has them doing some wild thing you've never seen before. Chasing witches on brooms. Chatting with gossipy gargoyles. It's just fun!

As long as they do a Buffy episode, perhaps as a musical, I'll be happy

Things got so weird with the rebirth thing. Surprised the show has gone on as long as it has

I truly love this show, but I must agree. It really had the feeling of out of ideas, o yea, Colin is a baby now

[–] x4740N@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

As someone who hasn't watched this show does rebirth mean something different to being reincarnated and born again or is that what it means ?

He's just reborn as a baby, it's complicated. Don't let it discourage you the show is very very funny.

I won't spoil anything but most of the story arcs are wrapping up and I'd prefer they go out on a high note as well. I'm glad they're getting one last season to tie up any loose ends.

For anyone that hasn't seen it there's a prequel movie of the same name made by the same people that's equally hilarious as the show and pretty much unrelated.

The series is more of a continuation than a prequel. It was made first and the shows creator has been in character in the current show.

[–] norbert@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Correct, the movie is the prequel to the show, as I said.

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 years ago

Colin would probably pedantically say that the show is a sequel to the movie, the prequel term describes movies/shows set in a time before an original work.

[–] ivanafterall@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago

More literal, actually. Think regular birth meets Alien.

[–] LegionEris@feddit.nl 7 points 2 years ago

Bummer. I really like the direction they've been going. Make it weirder. Make it more uncomfortable.

Boooo, i want more of this universe, c'mon Taika!

[–] vulgarcynic@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago

Fingers crossed we get We're wolves! Been waiting for that since before the show started.

[–] rivermonster@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Excited for AI to continue making episodes indefinitely.

I lost interest after the first 2 seasons, which were really good. After that it seems they were grasping for ideas

I felt similar at the start of S3 but by the end I was hooked again. In fact, I thought when Jemaine left the writing team it couldn't possibly be as good but I have to say the writing held up.
